Brand Spotlight: Dr. Ceuracle

Updated: Apr 11, 2022

The Cosmeceutical Pioneers in Korea

Dr. Ceuracle stands for a combination of "Cosmeceutical" and "Miracle". The brand was established back in 2001 and originally operated under the name Leegeeham. They became a cult favourite amongst K-beauty lovers and were the first Korean brand to be titled as Cosmeceuticals i.e. skincare developed in collaboration with dermatologists and ingredients developed through careful clinical research.

Dr. Ceuracle's mission is "Curing skin and Caring beauty". Their award winning dermatology research centre in South Korea has patented over 35 formulas and techniques. They were the first to introduce the techniques for laser removal of hyperpigmentation with Nd-YAG and CO2 laser.

By leveraging their dermatological experience and clinical research they pursue finding the right gentle ingredients to treat different problematic skin conditions and deliver them in an approachable way.

The purpose behind the brand's seed mark

Dr. Ceuracle's "seed mark" (pictured below) represents the thoughtfulness of each products formulation and the balance between cure & care in each product formula.

The symbol also represents the percentage of active ingredients contained in the formula. Each product line has a featured ingredient for addressing a specific skin problem. The label on the packaging (pictured below) will tell you what that main product ingredient is and it's percentage.

Category: Natural Derma & Medical Derma

Dr. Ceuracle's products are grouped into two distinct categories; Natural Derma and Medical Derma, with several product lines under each. Natural Derma is the signature line of Dr Ceuracle's principle theory "botanic science". This category provides effective and natural skin friendly solutions that are suitable for all skin types. Medical Derma is their category of advanced skincare formulas that have been clinically proven to have significant effect on specific concerns such as acne and ageing skin.

Some of Dr. Ceuracle's Key Ingredients

Kombucha is abundant in probiotics and vitamin B's to detoxify the skin, brighten the complexion, protect the skin barrier and provide hydration and nourishment. Dr. Ceuracle's Vegan line under Natural Derma includes Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence, Gel Cream, Lip Balm (all three can be bought together in a special box set).

Their kombucha line is suitable for all skin types and extremely effective at treating rough, dehydrated, acne-pone, and sensitive skin.

This line is also vegan, cruelty-free and the packaging is environmentally friendly.

Cica

Cica (or Centella Asiatica) is a healing plant commonly known as Tiger Grass. Renown for its soothing, repairing and calming properties, it has been used in Eastern medicines for centuries. This miraculous plant speeds up wound & burn healing, reduces inflammation and is packed with antioxidants that help protect the skin from environmental damage.

(Want to know bit more about Cica? We've written a blog post on its healing power - read it here.)
